Neighborhoods we serve

Six New Jersey towns we serve most.

The waterfront from Jersey City to Fort Lee, and Newark. The rest of northern New Jersey is covered too.

  • Hoboken

A square mile of brownstones and apartment buildings on the river, with the PATH, rail and ferry terminal at its south end. Narrow one-way streets mean the pickup is set at a named corner.

  • Jersey City

Office towers at Exchange Place, Harborside and Newport, many of them financial firms, with apartment high-rises behind. The Holland Tunnel puts Lower Manhattan a short drive away.

  • Newark

Downtown office towers, Newark Penn Station, university campuses and Prudential Center, with the airport a few minutes south. Most Newark pickups are an office, a hotel or the station.

  • Fort Lee

High-rise apartment buildings on the Palisades at the foot of the George Washington Bridge. Upper Manhattan is one bridge away, and Teterboro is close.

  • Weehawken

Waterfront offices and apartments at the mouth of the Lincoln Tunnel, with a ferry terminal and views of Midtown. Pickups are timed around the tunnel approaches, which back up at rush hour.

  • Edgewater

Riverfront apartment complexes and shopping along River Road, between Weehawken and Fort Lee. The George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln Tunnel are both within easy reach.

In depth

New Jersey car service across the Hudson

The waterfront and the crossings

The Hudson waterfront from Jersey City to Fort Lee faces Manhattan across the river, and much of it works there. Exchange Place, Harborside and Newport in Jersey City hold office towers full of financial firms; Hoboken and Weehawken mix apartments with offices; Edgewater and Fort Lee are largely residential high-rises. Three crossings serve them: the Holland Tunnel to Lower Manhattan, the Lincoln Tunnel from Weehawken to Midtown, and the George Washington Bridge from Fort Lee.

The PATH and the ferries are quick for a single commuter. A car earns its place for a client meeting across town, a team traveling together or a late return, and the chauffeur picks the tunnel that is moving. The Hudson crossings charge a toll heading into New York and none heading back, and tolls are part of the quote rather than a surprise later.

Newark, arenas and company groups

Downtown Newark has its own office towers, Newark Penn Station and Prudential Center, with Red Bull Arena across the Passaic in Harrison and the airport a few minutes south. Companies here and on the waterfront move teams in a 14-passenger Sprinter or the 14-seat conference-table Sprinter, and send groups to a game at either arena in mini buses seating 23, 29, 32 and 38.

For a company offsite or a large group there is a 55-passenger motor coach, from $250 an hour. New Jersey pickups are outside Manhattan's congestion relief zone; a trip only takes on that charge if its drop-off is inside the zone, and we confirm that at booking.

Good to know

New Jersey questions, answered.

Where do I book a Newark Airport transfer from New Jersey?

Our Newark airport pages are built for that trip, with car, van and bus options, flight tracking and terminal pickup details, and they are linked from this page. This New Jersey page covers everything else in the area: cross-Hudson trips, corporate travel, Newark and group outings.

How long does it take to get from Jersey City or Hoboken to Midtown Manhattan?

Typically 25 to 45 minutes by car through the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel, depending on where you start and which tunnel is moving. At the morning rush the tunnel approaches can add a good deal more, so we time early meetings with room to spare.

Do New Jersey trips into Manhattan pay a Hudson crossing toll?

Yes, heading into New York. The Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge charge a toll New York-bound and nothing on the way back to New Jersey. The toll is part of your quote, so nothing is added at the end of the trip.

Can you take a New Jersey office team to a client in Manhattan?

Yes. A Sprinter carries up to 14, and the conference-table version seats 14 facing each other, at $150 an hour, so a Jersey City or Newark team can prepare on the way and keep the van for the day.

Do you run group trips from New Jersey to Red Bull Arena or Prudential Center?

Yes. Groups travel together in a Sprinter for up to 14, a mini bus seating up to 38 or a 55-passenger coach. From Jersey City or Hoboken, Red Bull Arena is typically 20 to 35 minutes and downtown Newark 20 to 35 minutes. Each arena has its own page for arrival and collection.

How much does a car service in New Jersey cost?

By the hour, an executive sedan is $85, a Cadillac Escalade ESV $95, the conference-table Sprinter $150 and a motor coach $250, each with a minimum. Airport transfers and one-way trips are quoted from your exact address when you book.

Which New Jersey towns do you pick up in?

All of northern New Jersey. That includes Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark, Fort Lee, Weehawken and Edgewater, along with Bayonne, Secaucus, Harrison, Montclair, Englewood, Short Hills and Morristown.

Does congestion pricing apply to New Jersey pickups?

No. New Jersey is outside Manhattan's congestion relief zone, so trips within the state and to Newark or Teterboro are unaffected. A tunnel trip that ends inside the zone in Manhattan is the only case where it can apply, and we confirm that when you book.
