Dispatcher — Long Island City

You work the board: taking reservations, assigning trips to vehicles and drivers in Limo Anywhere, watching inbound flights, and rebuilding the day when something shifts. It is part logistics and part customer service, and the two are not really separable — a well-handled delay is often what earns the next booking.

Shifts cover a 24-hour operation, including nights, weekends and holidays. That is the nature of an airport business, and we are straight about it rather than discovering it together in week two.

• Manage reservations end to end and keep them accurate in Limo Anywhere.
• Handle incoming calls, emails and messages, and quote and confirm trips.
• Track drivers on the road and move pick-ups before a client has to ask.
• Assign the right vehicle to each trip, balancing type, availability and travel time.
• Coordinate group and event work: staging points, meeting times and multi-vehicle arrivals.

• Dispatch experience in transportation, logistics or a comparable operation.
• Clear, calm communication — spoken and written — especially when delivering bad news.
• The composure to work under pressure and hold several moving parts at once.
• A genuine customer-service mindset and comfort with scheduling software.

• A central role in a company where dispatch is the product, not an afterthought.
• An established client base and recurring corporate work.
• A team that answers the phone at 3am, so you are never the only one on.
